Setup Grotesk is a no-nonsense geometric sans-serif typeface primarily intended for display use consisting of 8 styles ranging from Hair to Black, with low contrast, wide width, and medium x-height.
Setup Grotesk supports Basic Latin, Extended Latin, Vietnamese, Cyrillic, and Greek and covers over 110 languages. With total of 1431 glyphs, it includes the default set of proportional lining figures along with proportional oldstyle figures, tabular lining figures, tabular oldstyle figures, superscript figures, subscript figures, and fractions for advanced numerical setting. Additional features like stylistic set 1–6, small capitals, all small capitals, case sensitive forms, and ordinals allow for further customization and versatility.
The design of Setup Grotesk follows the tradition of geometric sans-serif typefaces – it has a distinctly geometric construction with tightly closed counters and horizontal stroke terminals similar to Avant Garde, but thanks to pointy joints and higher width variability among the glyphs, it gets closer to Futura in its character.
Setup Grotesk features two constructional variants – pointy and flat connections of diagonal strokes.
