Ein Exoplanet ist ein Planet außerhalb des Sonnensystems. Die erste bestätigte Entdeckung erfolgte 1992. Bis zum 1. Oktober 2022 sind 5.197 bestätigte Exoplaneten in 3.833 Planetensystemen bekannt, von denen 840 Systeme mehr als einen Planeten enthalten. Berichte über mögliche Exoplaneten gab es bereits im 19. Jahrhundert. Einige der frühesten Hinweise beziehen sich auf den Doppelstern 70 Ophiuchi. Im Jahr 1855 berichtete William Stephen Jacob am Observatorium der Ostindien-Kompanie in Madras, dass Bahnabweichungen es „höchst wahrscheinlich“ machten, dass in diesem System ein „planetarer Körper“ existiert.

Podporovanými znakovými sadami písma Doko sú základná latinka a rozšírená latinka, vďaka čomu môže byť písmo použité vo viac ako 100 jazykoch. S celkovým počtom 479 znakov, základnou sadou sú proporčné skákavé číslice doplnené o proporčné zarovnané číslice, tabulárne zarovnané číslice, tabulárne skákavé číslice, horné indexy, dolné indexy a zlomky pre pokročilú numerickú sadzbu. Funkcie ako štylistická sada 1–3, štandardné ligatúry, špeciálne ligatúry a ordinály umožňujú ďalšie prispôsobenie a zvyšujú celkovú všestrannosť písma.
Doko je písmo navrhnuté predovšetkým pre použitie v dizajne časopisov a publikácií inšpirované komiksom, ilustráciou a letteringom. Jeho dizajn sa pohybuje na hranici medzi expresívnosťou nadpisových písiem a funkčnosťou textových písiem, pričom funguje rovnako dobre v oboch kontextoch. Doko bolo diplomovým projektom na magisterskom programe Type and Media na KABK v Holandskom Haagu.
